Dickies Workwear has been a huge part brand within agriculture since 1922, then being brought by Texas-based Williamson-Dickie in the 1980s, they created the workwear brand which offered waterproof winter clothing, reflective and high-visibility garments, Jeans, Trousers, shoes and hats for real workers to do their jobs in comfort and style all with great quality and for great prices, BUT….
As a Supplier of Dickies Workwear for well over 30 years, we @ Ben Nevis Clothing are now in uncharted territory with the unfortunate loss of this great brand to the European market which has seen up to 280 jobs at risk within our country near Somerset. The Dickies Workwear brand looks like it has ceased trading from the end of March 2021 in the UK and for the foreseeable future.
Dickies are a clothing and footwear Brand with huge influences across all working industries in indoor and outdoor environments and will apparently no longer trade in the UK market after the current US parent company, VF Corporation, based in USA, undertook a review of the entire setup and decided that the workwear side of the business was not fulfilling it’s financial expectations. Now It looks like they will have a European hub based from Switzerland and will sell to the general public at a much higher cost through the Dickies Streetwear online. Along with Brexit, this has been a shock to the system in everyway possible regarding a great workwear brand. Potentially meaning Industries/companies will struggle to find their staff cost affective uniforms that have been well established for many years. This is now time for the other workwear based companies within the UK market to thrive.
Never say never… Dickies may find that this move hasn’t worked out and may bring back the workwear brand to the UK, But for now this may be An End Of An Era…. for the true workers of this country who have built the foundations within our communities. We love the brand and hope they come back to our shores sooner rather than later.

I was wondering if you ever managed to identify whether Dickies Workwear will be available in Uk. Trying to find a UK distributor for their denim dungarees. Any advice appreciated

Thank you for your enquiry about Dickies products.
From our Knowledge Dickies have come back to the UK market and are very selective to whom they supply and are releasing products in stages, we have started to re-stock some workwear styles but the denim dungarees is something that is not available to us at the moment.
You might be able to find these on the American Dickies website. Hope this helps
