This jacket became fashionable in the United Kingdom in the 1960s among Mods and skinheads. We have been manufacturing the Combat Harrington ever since, nearly 60 years. In this time this jacket has created so many talking points within many social circles, forums, blogs and websites, its all for the positive. Talking points usually include how to wear this iconic jacket? Collar up on your Combat Harrington, this is a very common way of wearing this jacket for a few main reasons. A classic Harrington will typically have a double buttoned collar which can be done up to prevent you from the elements such as rain and wind, making it a very practical option which helps this jacket to be in a league of its own to protect the neck on those crazy days, so practicality becomes style.

Collar up can also be part of someone’s look, for example, if you are more of rebel and have rough rogue look this is definitely the way to wear your Combat Harrington, if you have a hard exterior and are nice at heart this is the Vibe for you, all to give that impression that you’re not to be messed with and so the heritage of this jacket comes with attraction from the film stars such as Steve McQueen especially in his personal life, James Dean in a film called Rebel without a cause and even OO7 himself Daniel Craig, all with rough, rugged and rogue styles with the collars up.

If that’s not your cup of tea then Collar Down is the one for you. This will be the way to wear your Combat Harrington if you are looking for a clean cut, sharp, crisp, and dapper way of dressing. Being the best dressed in any room can create a world of opportunities, and we all know that first impressions are key. The collar down is the perfect look with a button down dress shirt with braces, even with a nice jumper or turtle neck, sta press trousers, chinos, dress socks and nice Desert boots such as Dr martens or Solovair. This look will most certainly be in the history books regarding a classic look through the 60s,70s and 80s through to the current era.

Back in the day the likes Frank Sinatra, Elivs  and even Superman’s Christopher Reeve sporting the collar down, its becoming more of trend to take better care on our appearances, with skin care and clothes to look sharp but to feel better about ourselves which helps with our mental health, Look Great, Feel Great.
