The Classic Alpha Industries N2B originally put in production for the military to combat the harsh cold weather. Alpha released the N2B in the 1950s, the N2B was issued to Air Force pilots and ground personnel subjected to freezing temperatures. Its outer shell is made from 100% Alpha Industries flight nylon, rendering it windproof and water-repellent. A real heavy-weight, the N2B is complete with padding and lining that is guaranteed to keep you warm through out the winter months. One of the special features that made this jacket so useful was the pass through pocks. The N2B front pockets were designed to allow the wearer to reach the front pockets of his trousers, this allowed the wearer to keep his hands covered without exposing them to the sub-freezing temperatures. Additionally, the large hood comes with a faux-fur trim and can be zipped apart to cover the shoulders.
